Roaringwaters stalked the Carrionplace. The reak of death was bitter and cold in his nostrills, but welcoming. It was something he was rather used to. The feeling of a won battle came to mind as the tortishell walked on. His amber eyes were peircing, but slightly glazed over. Older thoughts came to mind as the eyes looked up. The only light he could see was the dim light of the moon behind the clouds. Slowly, Roaringwaters looked around. Tracing the shadows with his eyes, his sensitive hearing listening for any movement other than his own breathing, and his scent running through the scents around him. Everything reached out past the scent of death and the feeling of it around him. The experienced tom just waited. He knew something would find him sooner or later; May it be Clan ally or enemy something would find him.

Little did the tom know about the danger concealed within the botany. Well, more than danger, it was peril. Yet, more than peril it was venom. At least that's how Ashkit thought of himself: A handsome, malignant, and audacious tom who could defeat anybody foolish enough to challenge him. His nosetrills caught the scent of a cat he did not recognize. Ashkit quailed in glee, for he had been craving to battle and quarrel since he had memory. The valiant tom crouched and followed the aroma, not really caring where it lead to, but only interested on culminating the life of the invasor. When the fragrance was caressing his nosetrills, Ashkit flared from the bushes and into the clearing. "Show yourself stranger!" the kit stormed, his pitching voice abluting the place. He exposed his apparently massive shoulders and flinged his tail to show courage. "See if you can bear me in a battle!" he wailed again when he saw the outline of the cat.

((I hope you don't mind RPing with a kit. He was accepted yesterday and this was the only active thread on ShadowClan.))

Articpaw had been watching the Windclan border, seeing if she could see her brother, Polarpaw, when she heard Ashkit.

"ASHKIT!!" she screeched. "ASH-KIT!!!!!!!!" she dragged out the "kit" part. Soon, she heard him call, "See if you can bear me in battle!"

She then saw Roaringwaters. Had he heard the tiny little kit? Would he hurt-or kill- Ashkit?

Roaringwaters' pericing amber eyes locked onto the kit. The bigger, older tom stalked forward slowly. His eyes glared, challengingly. "All I see is a pathetic runt. Nothing I should bother with. You don't even look good enough to start your training, kid." He rummbled. The deep scar across the top of his eyes was visible greatly, even in the dim light.

OOC: I would think a 34 moons old warrior would be bigger than a kit lol Or at least Roaringwaters

Ashkit's curled legs quivered, but his daring personality did not tremble. "Is that a challenge?" the tom replied, his rasping voice scorching his ears. Amazed by the way his voice could change, he stood up defiantly, his pelt shimmering. A typical kit would had been horrified by Roaringwater's words and would have ran away to his mommy. But not Ashkit. He was an unsual kit. He, unlike the stereotypical kits, had been horrified by Roaringwater's words and wanted to run away with his mommy, but tragically, he did not have a mother so he was deprived from that option. He then decided to face the tom, in spite of his fear. ((Get the irony? xD)) Then the yelp and arrival of another kit snapped him out of his thought. "Who are you?" Ashkit asked, wondering how this individual knew his name. Staring more fixedly at the kit brought comprehension to his mind. "Oh you're Articpaw!" he said back and bashfully dipped his head in shame for not recognizing his clanmate. "Sorry, my vision was blurry" he admitted. But seconds later, he turned back to Roaringwaters with a rather expectant glare.

"Articpaw- Whats going on here?" Autumnpelt appeared suddenly. She'd been looking for her apprentice, but wondered what a kit was doing outside of camp. She didn't voice that question though, waiting for her former answer first. She was in a sour mood, having slept little the last few nights, but tried to remain calm while she waited for an answer.

Roaringwaters hissed at them. Worse than the rouges... He growled in his head. His amber eyes glared still at them. The big tortishell looked at Autumpelt, frowning.

Ashpaw ignored Autumnpelt's arrival and followed the tom. "Wait! I'm not done with you!" he squealed, his litte legs throbing as they ran in his direction.

[Tigercloud]

Roaringwaters turned on the kit. He looked at him, glaring. "Look kid if your lucky you'll get a good enough mentor so you can beat me when your older. Now, if you don't mind, don't get lost on your way back to camp." He hissed lowly. He turned away and headed away. The frown was still on his face when he had hissed at Ashkit.

Articpaw put her tail up to silence Autumnpelt. She had to tell Talonstar. Roaringwaters wasn't even going to bring the kit back to camp! Was he crazy. "Autumnpelt?" she whispered, dazed.

OOC: Actually... If Ashkit has such an intrest in Roaringwaters he would follow would he not?

Roaringwaters glanced over his shoulder at the kit, thinking he would follow him. He was headed towards camp, but off to the side of it. Intrest had started to trace his mind about the kit. Maybe... No... He couldn't be that good when he gets older... Only he could be that good... The only one to actually almost kill me... Maybe if I trained him he could... No... The thoughts continued to race in his head. If it was even possible that he could be the mentor of this kit why was he so intrested? Why did he care if the kit could fend for himself?

((Um, yeah he would, but I have not replied to this so he hasn't, until now. Hehe.))

"Don't treat me like a kit!" Ashkit snarled at Articpaw, pretty much in his arrogant personality, but also furious she was forcing him to return to the camp. "I can defend my self and I don't need you to tell me where to go..." he said, his voice fading away. Grimacing at Articpaw, the tom twisted his tiny legs to follow the warrior. "Wait!" he squealed. He skidded to a halt when his little legs could no longer budge. Recovering his 'majestic' stance, Ashkit traced Roaringwaters. "I don't have a mentor yet" he began, "But I would be honored if I could hunt with you" he concluded, a hopeful tone in his voice.

Roaringwaters stopped, looking over his shoulder at the kit. "How old are you, kid?" He mrowed, flicking his tail to follow. He notioned to walk beside him as he turned course towards the more marshy areas to hunt with the kit. "Stay close, don't want need you gettin' stuck." The tom teased, unable to help himself.

Ashkit could barely contain his joy. "7 moons!" he squealed, running in circles around Roaringwaters. Blinded in happiness, he did not hear the warrior's comment and kept skipping. "So where are we hunting first?" he asked enthusiastically.

"The marshes are good for it." Roaringwaters looked at him. "7 moons... Intresting. You seem like you'd be a good apprentice. Maybe a great warrior if trained properly." He meowed. He continued to padd onwards.

Ashkit nodded. "I really hope I do" he said. "I've always had the illusion of becoming a brave and corageous warrior like all the others in the ShadowClan camp..." he proceeded, the tone of his voice now dreamy. Then he gruffly stopped and realized he was looking pretty stupid. "So yes..." he kept saying. Suddenly, a familiar stench hit his nosetrills at full speed. Because of his tiny size, he was able to intruit the smell of the little creatures that scurried in the ground, such as mice and voles. And Ashkit had just scented an unlucky mouse who had happened to meander near the two ShadowClanners. "Wait here" Ashkit whispered and boldly followed its trail. His tail was wheeling smoothly in the air while his short legs hustled toward it. The mouse was nibbling on a seed behind an over-grown fern, giving it a good concealment. Ashkit's claws slided from his paws and he pierced the flesh. He grinned as soon as the fragrance of recently caught prey flooded his muzzle. His jaws wrapped around its corpse and then the kit proudly marched back to Roaringwaters. He let the mouse fall over the tom's paws. "How about that Mr. Doubting Mustafa?" Ashkit beamed, his pelt prickiling.

Roaringwaters smiled at the tom as he walked off. He stood still so he wouldn't distract him or catch the attention of the prey. His smile broadened when he came back with the mouse and dropped it at his feet. "Nice job. Very even with posture, too." He purred in compliment. He didn't realize what he was doing until he laughed softly. "Your going to be a good warrior, kid." He mrowed. The bigger tom grinned at the smaller one.

"Roaringwaters?" A bell-like voice cooed. Stardust stepped up into the clearing and wove herself around the tom. "I've missed you....oh! Who is this?" she mewed with a smile.

Roaringwaters purred and flicked his tail in greeting. "Missed you, too. This, my sweet, it Ashkit. He found himself a way out of camp. Since he was out we, and because he asked, we descided to go on a hunting trip." He meowed, smiling back. He looked at the she-cat then the tom.

Starpaw nodded. "Hello there, Ashkit." she mewed. "Mind if I join you? I won't get in the way, I promise." the she-cat said with a mischievious glitter in her eyes.
