Depends on your point of veiw, I suppose. I've been a registered member on Runescape, so I know most of the things that go on there. This is my verdict: Interaction: RPG: since most sites do not promote swearing, it is a safe enviorment for anyone to just relax. Since Mods look for any rulebreakers it's pretty much a safe place to chill with online peeps. Runescape: There is not specific language ban of any sort, but there are sensors for bad words. Yet people are clever and can find ways of skirting the rules, unlike in an RPG. ((Also a lot of the people on RS are REALLY creepy) General Play: RPG: While there are no graphics to make it realistic it is nice to be able to have more than one character, and you don't have to pay to get all the benifits the site offers. It's free and fun!! Runescape: The graphics are not the best I've seen but it's cool to get to visualize your character. While clothes and cool weapons are really REALLY hard to pay for, if you're a member you can go anywhere and do any quest to get cool stuff. But you have to pay 5$ and that sucks. Characteralization: RPG: I love getting to choose what my characters look like!! I can have them get outfits out of nowhere, and I don't have to use any 'online cash' or anything. I like being able to make my character interact in any way I want, and I love being able to express my character in words so that you get a better understanding of who they are, and who I intended them to be. Runescape: It costs major mulah ($) to buy new clothes, and you can't really develop your characters that much... I mean, you can get stats and stuff but basically you can't make your characters mature or show feeling, they just run around and do stuff. It's not very fun to not be able to have a true character So that's my general verdict. I think RPing is way better and is way more fun!!

Alright, my opinion will be really bias becuase I hate (I MEAN H-A-T-E) this one virtual RP site called Second Life (If I could I'd destroy it) Its sucking up all my dads time and he doesn't spend any time with us anymore. I agree wth Lion a great deal, this site is safer, funner, and unexpensive! People don't get stuck on it as much when there is no one on. My dads on all the time because he always has someone to talk to. It makes me mad! Sometimes, I want him to be with us, but he's so... irritating I wish he'd just go into second life!
For me, its personal.
