This is a commonly thought about topic that I (hope?) we can discuss maturly... I did say hope..
Anyway would you say that the authors (yes there are two of them) of The Warrior series and New Prophecy series made some cats too perfect or too imperfect? God-moding on RPG's is usually not allowed but do you think sometimes some cats in the books were a little... overly perfect?

I think so... like Fireheart, even though he did do things he wasn't supposed to, he always did them for the perfect reasons. And also Tigerclaw was the perfect enemy, and Darkstripe was the perfect spy for Tigerclaw. Also Whitestorm was the perfect senior warrior and basically all the ThunderClan medicine cats were the most talented in all four Clans. Especially Spottedleaf (even though I love her), and Yellowfang. ((I really don't know about Leafpaw yet except that Cinderpelt thinks she's as talented as Spottedleaf))

She runs off with Crowpaw, returns because Badgers attack Thunderclan, Windclan appears to help, Stormfur and Brook move into Thunderclan for a time to help, then go to Riverclan, get kicked out of Riverclan, and return permanantly to Thunderclan. Happy? I just gave you all of Sunset.Oh, and Cinderpelt and Sootfur die in Sunset

I definately think that Firepaw/heart/star was made too perfectly. It's like he's always the hero and always there when the cats need help. He's always the one who solves the problems and truthfully, i got a little bored of just hearing about him in the original series. I mean, it's still awesome, but i was glad when the new prophecy came out because it focused on other cats.

It was good, but I think the authors should've done something to give some characters more zest. Like having Firestar fall for the trap in Sunset- that was cool because it showed he wasn't all-knowing.

Well, if they weren't perfect enemies or perfect medicine cats, where would we be? Firestar is not perfect- he's just a noble charecter. He does what his heart tells him, and that just tells him to do what's right. Graystripe and Silverstream's love story was tragic, and that makes it more or less a perfect love story. All charecters have their flaws. Firestar, too. Tigerstar was the perfect enemy, because if he wasn't, who would the enemy be? And Darkstripe's heart is just as the first part describes... dark. Of course he'll be with Tigerstar! But all in all, I think every charecter has a flaw of some sort. Tigerstar is a greedy cat with a lust for power and an uncontrolable temper. Firestar was a born kittypet, and struggles with acceptance still. Brambleclaw is ambitious and sought power in ThunderCLan. Leafpool's heart is in two places (though it comes back to the basics), and Squirrelflight is a cranky furball. Sandstorm's like that too. I think they all have their ups and downs.

Well, the simple idea of making cats that actually talk, assign each other ranks and make up combined names is making a cat perfect. I mean, cats (in real life) are smart and stuff, but I doubt they're smart enough to actually do what the Warriors Series say they do. Of course, if you look at it by another point of view, they actually symbolize many good things people lack of (noblity, honesty, claws, the desire to eat a raw mouse xD) and that's one of the things that make the series interesting. Just pointing that out.
Now, about what you folks said about Fireheart... I agree with Lion. He wasn't precisely perfect but was more outstanding than others because he wasn't like the rest. He was more loyal and had a purer heart than others. And if you look at it closely, most of book's main characters (not only Warriors) have those characteristics, and one more that lead them to perfection: luck. Of course, at the end, it all ends with, "It wasn't luck that helped you out of that situation. It was your brave heart" but if it wasn't that way, where would we be? And technically, Fireheart wasn't completely perfect. So he saved the clans, the forest, and became Thunderclan's leader, but he wasn't very responsible as an apprentice, neither prudent. He was the perfect hero, and Tigerclaw was the perfect match for him, the perfect villain. If he wasn't as greedy as he was described, the series wouldn't have been very interesting. If Fireheart had evil ambitions, he wouldn't be considered the hero he is currently recognized for. So with out a slight exaggeration of perfection to every character, any book would be as simple as any...

Crowfeather. He is Crowfeather. And Squirrelflight is Mate with Brambleclaw and they have three kits:Jaypaw,Hollypaw and Lionpaw. I think Brambleclaw is to perfect because he's the perfect warrior. And Squirrelflight too.Leafpool kinda because she is like the perfect medicine cat and all.But just like Hannah Montana sings, "Nobadys perfect,I gotta work it!" My friend Corrin LOVES Hannah Montana.Nick sings it too.

Um....But they...WAIT!They could be Tawnypelts because in The Sight it says Tawnypelt is a queen...And also it says that They were born outside the hollow(Camp) And had to walk in the snow...Tawnypaelt could have gone to the boarder and hoped Brambleclaw was on patroll and gave him her kits!
